Doorstep Pond in a Box
Having a pond is one of the best things you can do for nature. This plastic-free, hardwood pond creates a thriving home for frogs, newts, pond skaters, dragonflies and pollinators without the need for digging.
Naturally oxygenated by the plants we provide, no pumps or aerators are required.
What’s included?
- Handcrafted 60cm wide x 30cm deep birch tub, with a custom larch wildlife shelf and sealed using traditional puddle clay
- Four native pond plants, selected to attract local wildlife (Water Forget-me-not, Marsh Marigold, Hornwort and Frogbit)
- Finishing touches: tumbled slate to create a beach on the pond shelf and grit for the pond bottom

Wildflower meadows are now one of Britain's rarest habitats; causing bees, butterflies and other insects to decline. Our kit brings some of that lost landscape back to your doorstep.
It is tailor-made to attract the colourful Common Blue butterfly and a variety of bees. Low maintenance, peat-free and designed to thrive even in a small space.

Coir
Our coir is a sustainable and durable by-product of coconut farming.
Slate
Our Welsh slate complies with all regulatory standards and environmental requirements.
Plants
Water Forget-me-not, Marsh Marigold, Cuckooflowers, Bird’s-foot Trefoils, Sheep’s Fescue, Selfheal, Soft Rush and Brooklime come planted in 13cm coir pots that can be placed straight into the tubs. Hornwort, an oxygenator, and Frogbit, which helps keep pond water clear, are packed in compostable bags and can be placed straight in the water.
Our wood
Our hardwood is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. The tub is made of Birch treated externally with pure cold-pressed linseed oil. The pond shelf is made of untreated larch.
Bamboo
We use sustainable bamboo.
Sealants
We use natural methods and materials to seal the wood we use, avoiding harmful chemicals.
Packaging
We use recycled and compostable materials.
Water treatment
We provide premium quality ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) powder that removes any chlorine in tap water if you use this to fill your pond.
