Doorstep Nature
Get up close to the magic of nature in your garden or yard with our curated mini habitats that arrive ready to go out of the box.
Each kit is a whole solution, not just a container but a living ecosystem designed to help anyone watch the complete lifecycles of nature unfold on your doorstep.
Convenient and uncomplicated, we have selected the perfect combination of plants and accessories to attract butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, water beetles, frogs and more.
While some garden products rely on plastics and harmful chemicals, we use only natural, wildlife-safe materials that protect the very environment you’re helping to create.

Doorstep Flower Meadow in a box
Wildflower meadows are now one of Britain's rarest habitats; causing bees, butterflies and other insects to decline. Our kit brings some of that lost landscape back to your doorstep.
It is tailor-made to attract the colourful Common Blue butterfly and a variety of bees. Low maintenance, peat-free and designed to thrive even in a small space.

Our ponds and meadows are the result of years of careful research, designed to ensure your habitat is a true haven for British wildlife.
Every detail is thoughtfully engineered, from our hydroponic reservoir systems that naturally conserve water to our use of chemical-free, untreated wood that ages safely and naturally over time.
We have carefully hand-picked native plants and replaced traditional plastic liners with environmentally safe puddle clay to ensure every element is 100% plastic-free and non-toxic.
By providing resources species need for their lifecycles, we've designed habitats that encourage butterflies and frogs not just to visit but to set up home.
Fascinating all year round
Whether you are starting in the frost of January or the heat of July, our habitats are designed for year-round setup.
While flowers and visiting wildlife do make spring and summer particularly exciting, starting in autumn or winter allows your mini ecosystem the perfect chance to settle in before the growing season begins.
Every kit is a complete sanctuary on its own, but you can also group them together. Mixing ponds and meadows will create an even richer local habitat.
Everything you need
Forget the guesswork of garden centres and the mess of DIY. While others just sell the tub, we provide the whole living ecosystem, delivered right to your door.
Each kit includes everything you need, from handcrafted containers to native, wildlife-friendly plants, ready to flourish from day one. It is so simple that even a total beginner can create a living habitat.
Plus, every purchase includes free membership of the Doorstep Nature School, giving you the expert guides and seasonal advice needed to turn your space into a front row seat with nature.

Our sourcing is rooted in responsibility
We don’t just care about what’s in the box; we care about the footprint it leaves behind.
Every component of a Doorstep Nature kit is a result of research, development and a commitment to British wildlife.
Water Forget-me-not, Marsh Marigold, Cuckooflowers, Bird’s-foot Trefoils, Sheep’s Fescue, Selfheal, Soft Rush and Brooklime come planted in 13cm coir pots that can be placed straight into the tubs. Hornwort, an oxygenator, and Frogbit, which helps keep pond water clear, are packed in compostable bags and can be placed straight in the water.
Our hardwood is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. The tub is made of Birch treated externally with pure cold-pressed linseed oil. The pond shelf is made of untreated larch.
We use natural methods and materials to seal the wood we use, avoiding harmful chemicals.
We use recycled and compostable materials.
We provide premium quality ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) powder that removes any chlorine in tap water if you use this to fill your pond.
